Where To Buy Lace Front Wigs

Looking To Buy Lace Wigs?

Have you ever dreamed of purchasing a lace front wig? Imagine having the ability to completely change your appearance within a few minutes of applying a lace wig. Ok, snap out of your dream. Before you make a purchase on a lace wig you might want to learn some valuable wig buying tips.

1. Know the Different Lace Wig Types Before you buy

When you decide to buy a lace wig, whether it’s a first time purchase or not, can seem like a overwhelming process. You have likely seen celebrities such as Tyra Banks and Beyonce Knowles wearing beautiful wigs without a worry in the world. I’m sure if we all had that celebrity status we wouldn’t be shopping for the best quality and the most competitive prices. Before you buy, you need to know the two main types of lace wigs. There are human hair lace wigs (human hair) and synthetic hair lace wigs (fake hair). The cost of each wig will vary tremendously depending on whether its human hair or synthetic hair.

Human Hair Lace Front Wigs

The human hair wigs are more expensive and retail anywhere from $300-$1200, depending on the color, hair types, texture, and length. The most important factor to consider when buying human hair lace wigs is the length and hair type. All the human hair used during the construction of the lace wig is sold on the open hair market to the highest bidder. If you decide to choose a longer length hair, the wig will be more expensive because of the rarity of longer hair. The second factor in the price is the hair types, ranging from the standard Indian and Asian Remy, to specialty types such as Malaysian, Brazilian, and European. The Indian and Asian Remy hair runs around the same price range, but once you venture into the specialty types the prices will dramatically increase due to the high demand for that specific hair type.

Synthetic Lace Front Wigs

The Synthetic wigs are less expensive and typically cost anywhere from $50-$150; the only price variations are due to the length. Since there is no hair type you can choose, you don't have to worry about any other price increase. Don’t be fooled, there are wig shops that state there synthetic wigs are human like appearance, although this is not the same as human hair. The main differences include the inability to style or use hot irons over 140 degrees far. Also, the feeling of the hair is not as soft and will shed rather quickly.

2. Making a Decision

When making a decision you must factor in the longevity of the lace front wig.

  • How often do you plan to wear it?
  • Do you sleep with it at bedtime?
  • Do you shower with the wig?
  • Do you want a realistic look?

A wig is like tires on your automobile, the more your drive, the greater need to get the tires replaced in a shorter timeframe. The human hair wigs last longer and can be dyed, styled, and maintained with beauty products. Whereas, the synthetic wig fail upon these nature. Personally speaking, I have been wearing human hair wigs for 12 years now, and once I made the switch from synthetic to human hair, I can say happily - I would never go back.

3. Finding the Right Lace Wig Shop

Once you figure out which wig type is right for you, it’s time to look for a wig shop that can meet your expectations. Lace front wigs can be found at a local beauty supply store/salon, or online at discounted prices. In my opinion, I use to buy my wigs from a salon, but quickly moved to online shopping because I discovered that I was able to save a lot of money on my purchase. I tried a few different shops, but the most reputable online shop for lace wigs that I found is lace-front-wig.com. They have competitive prices and can make your lace wig anyway you desire. They also have wig care product line that was developed exclusively for lace wigs.

If you follow these simple buying tips, your lace wig buying experience should go smoothly. Remember that buying a lace wig from salon or beauty supply store is not the same when buying from an online wig shop. You want to be armed with all the relevant knowledge when buying a wig.

and hair pieces come to America from across the ocean. In Egypt some 1500 years ago, the Egyptians started the concept of using artificial hair. When it was first invented, the purpose of a wig was to complement festive holiday attire. In many museums, Egyptian wigs are on display today. the wigs and discovered the wigs were made from vegetable and human hair. Some of the pieces during that time were enormous and weighty.
